Callie Maxwell

Callie P. Maxwell, Esq. is a native Arizonan with more than 13 years of litigation experience in medical malpractice defense and commercial litigation. Her primary practice area has been medical malpractice defense, both in the civil context and representing medical professionals before their respective licensing boards. Callie was recently named a Phoenix Magazine Top Lawyer of 2022 in the area of Medical Malpractice Defense, and she has been named a Super Lawyer® Rising Star from 2018-2023. Callie has valuable experience representing her clients in several jury trials in Maricopa County Superior Court. Because many members of Callie’s family work as doctors, nurses, physicians’ assistants and medical assistants, Callie has a deep understanding of the medical field and strong passion for protecting the interest of medical professionals.

Callie is a “Double Devil,” graduating from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (Summa Cum Laude) and a Juris Doctorate (Cum Laude) from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. After graduation, she clerked for the Honorable Ann Scott Timmer at the Arizona Court of Appeals. Prior to joining Kent & Wittekind, she was a trial attorney at Kercsmar & Feltus, a boutique commercial litigation firm in Scottsdale. She also practiced as a medical malpractice defense attorney at Jennings Strouss.

Callie is also very active in the community. She has been a member of the Sandra Day O’Connor Inn of Court since 2010 and has held many executive positions, including President. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Scottsdale Bar Association while practicing in Scottsdale. Callie’s philanthropic activities include being a passionate supporter of autism awareness and the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARCC). She is also the Founder and Director of Paw Town Angels, a 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization.
