Mr. Wittekind focuses his practice in the areas of medical malpractice,
professional liability, insurance coverage and insurance defense litigation.
He has significant trial experience in medical malpractice and catastrophic
personal injury cases. Mr. Wittekind has also received Martindale Hubbell’s
highest rating, AV, (pre-eminent) and has been frequently listed in "Top
Lawyers in Arizona," (the Legal Network) and "Top Lawyers of
Arizona" (the National Law Journal).
Mr. Wittekind received his undergraduate degree from the University of
Connecticut, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in 1981. After one year
of study toward a Master of Business Administration at the University
of Connecticut, Mr. Wittekind went on to receive his Juris Doctorate degree
from the University of Notre Dame in 1985.
Mr. Wittekind was formerly a partner at the law firm of Snell & Wilmer,
Arizona’s largest law firm, where he practiced for 13 years before
leaving to form Kent & Wittekind, P.C. He has served as a chairman
of an Arizona State Bar Disciplinary Hearing Committee and as a judge
pro tem in the Superior Court of Arizona. Mr. Wittekind is the author
of "What Physicians Should Expect From Their Insurer-Retained Attorneys
in Medical Malpractice Cases, Survey of Anesthesiology (December, 1993)".
Mr. Wittekind is admitted to practice in the State of Arizona and the United
States District Court for the District of Arizona.
